Our Siding Services
When it comes to siding solutions, we have the most comprehensive offering in town. We do it all! Whether you need new siding installed, a full replacement, or just a quick repair to increase the life of your siding, we can help! We do both commercial and residential buildings.
Vinyl Siding
Vinyl is a great, inexpensive option for houses and small apartment buildings. It is extremely versatile in its design choices and great for weatherproofing. This product is engineered here in the U.S. and manufactured from PVC resin. It can be made to imitate wood clapboard siding, board siding, or shakes. It is one of the most common siding options for residential buildings in the U.S. It is known for it’s variety of colors, glossy finish, resistance to impact, flexibility, durability, and fire-retardant properties. Vinyl siding also doesn’t rust, warp, or corrode, unlike some other traditional siding materials.
James Hardie Siding
James Hardie Siding, otherwise known as fiber cement siding, is used commonly on both commercial and residential buildings. It is a composite material made from cement and is reinforced with cellulose fibers to make it stronger and more flexible. It is thought to be more durable than wood materials (lasts up to 50 years). The advantages of fiber cement board are its low maintenance (easy to clean), high durability (long-lasting), customization options (can easily be repainted or applied to imitate other materials), and sustainability.
Cedar Siding
Cedar siding can lend an attractive and natural look to your building. But, because it is a natural material, it´s important to consider its advantages and disadvantages before settling on it as your top choice. Its benefits are its visual appeal, it can be stained and cut into a variety of colors and styles, its superior sound and thermal insulation, and its very quick and easy application. Some of its downsides are its flammability, required regular maintenance (re-staining and/or re-treating for weatherproofing), susceptibility to damage from moisture, and common pests like woodpeckers and insects.
Siding Repair
Holes, dents, cracks, and other damage to your siding can generally be fixed quickly and economically. With new technology in fillers, hardeners, and epoxies we can effectively fill in those pesky cracks and firm up any soft spots to make it as good as new, or oftentimes, even stronger than the original material. These quick and easy repairs can add years of longevity to your siding. Siding repair is a great option for those who want to delay a large, expensive project. We can usually repair most siding materials easily. Not sure if your siding can be repaired or needs a full replacement? Give us a call for an on-site inspection or consultation!
Steel Siding
Many property owners associate steel with commercial applications only. However, advances in steel siding design have made it much more versatile and more appealing for residential spaces as well. Steel has many advantages, it is eco-friendly as it can be manufactured from recycled steel, it is extremely durable and cast last for longer than 50 years with little to no maintenance, it can easily be insulated for improved temperature control and sound resistance, and it can handle extreme weather conditions. Steel can be more expensive at the outset, it is susceptible to denting from impact from hail or blowing debris, and it can be prone to rusting in high-humidity climates.
Multi-family Siding
Choosing the siding for your multi-family project can sometimes be an overwhelming task. Our dedicated project managers can help you understand current trends, and the properties of the different materials, and advise you on the best options for the Kansas City climate. Many traditional building owners opted for wood paneled siding in the past, but with new advances in technology and the advent of new materials, the options are endless. A sleek multi-colored vinyl product can give a modern look to your buildings, for a moderate price. Or many higher-end projects are looking to fiber cement for its longevity and resistance to inclement weather and pests.
New Construction
When planning and designing your new construction project, it’s important to consider the type of siding you’d like your commercial or residential building to have. As we all know, the exterior of your building is like the cover of a book, it’s the first thing that people see so it should be aesthetically pleasing. But, it’s also the first defense against weather and exterior forces, so it has to be hardy and long-lasting. To make sure your new building is beautiful and strong, give our experienced designers a call! We would love to be part of your new venture.
Siding Installation & Replacement
Having new siding installed with us is a quick and painless process. First, give us a call and let us know your budget and design preferences. Then, we’ll visit your property to get the dimensions of your building. And finally, we’ll give you a quote (including the price and project timeline). Once you’ve decided to go ahead with the project we can get started in a matter of days. For replacement, the process is similar. The only added step is the initial removal of the old material. Depending on the state of the old exterior facade the removal process timeline will vary.
